The Founders & StaffShare Board
The four founders are without exception, mature, experienced and
impressive in business matters at all levels- with extensive practical
knowledge gained through business administration, business start ups,
marketing and sales as well as founder management and director roles in
Technology, Publishing, Human Resources, Design and Media.
The drive and determination invested in this business was triggered
through one simple idea to find some way to level out employment
peaks and troughs and by doing so.....cut operational costs and save more jobs.
The idea grew over 16 months and would not be put down - not without
trying it out - and so StaffShare Limited was incorporated in May 2008. With the bold objectives to help reduce unemployment and try to encourage SMEs to find low cost skills, it seemed a natural step to demonstrate our open, honest and socially responsible business agenda and so on universal approval the Company declared itself a Social Enterprise early the following year.
Like all big new ideas it needed imagination, cash and enormous
energy to design, test and gradually develop the core business
concept into a smooth and effective on-line process- where the
customer had to be placed at the very centre of the service- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The present range of StaffShare services is narrowly focused,
but this will broaden over time. For now it does exactly what it
promises and already some major private and public sector organisations
have been quick to spot the rather unique advantages The Skill Exchange
can offer their HR departments- in some cases joining up as Members for
both redeployment and recruitment services.
Naturally we are always looking to include new tools and new ways to
support the sourcing & transfer of skills between Members on both
sides of The Skill Exchange which we all now call "StaffShare".
The Founders hope you find the search and the on-line service efficient and
practical - if not, please do let them know!
