What is a Profile?

Each Profile is a basic, anonymous and numbered short description on that candidate- created in response to a general search process in the SkillGallery. It covers industry sector, level /seniority, basic job functions and dates candidates might be available. All categories and groups here are purposefully broad to try to best 'capture' general skills and experience that might suit a new role or post. It is clearly not precise or as full an overview as the CV of the candidate –which does provide much more detailed descriptions held on the database. However, the free and simple access to any Profile allows Skill Buyers or new un-registered visitors to freely and quickly browse the available skilled Profiles in search of their perfect prospect.

To access any full CV, you must first be a Registered Skill Buyer or Corporate Member.

What is a CV / Full Profile?

This is a purchased and downloaded document available to Registered Skill Buyers only (or Corporate Members) and gives a more comprehensive and detailed description of each Candidate available- including present employer, exact Job title and more detailed information to allow contact and interviews to be arranged. No personal details (such as name, age, sex or exact salary) are available within the CV.

Please note. Every CV is selected, purchased and downloaded under the strict StaffShare Terms of Use and certain Membership rights and obligations for single, personal use as a non-transferable asset. See Terms.

A StaffShare Example

A charity is approaching its financial year end and requires additional support for 4 weeks to assist with relatively complex accounting/tax provisions. A Corporate has a financial officer, who has recently completed a project and is awaiting redeployment.

The Financial officer has already been registered as a candidate on StaffShare by his/her corporate employer who is a Skill Seller Member. Based on the officer's skills and experience, which can be viewed as a free Profile and also as a paid for CV (once Registered as a Buyer Member) by the charity, an expression of interest is made by the charity by contacting the Seller Member employer using the details supplied on the CV. A salary / monthly or daily rate is agreed between both employers and the Employee is given the opportunity to take the role.

This amounts to a total secondment cost to the Charity of just £120.00 and includes an annual membership for future individual secondments at just £20.00 for each downloaded CV.

The secondment or temporary employment contract is entirely the business of the two employers however StaffShare can provide a basic legal guideline to Members that do not have standard forms or HR /legal support.

All StaffShare costs are paid on-line and are non returnable.

How Does StaffShare Work?

The Internet has altered all our lives and StaffShare has been fast and perhaps first to utilise the power and access of the web to create what is in effect a ‘skill exchange’ between those organisations that have skill in excess and those that simply need more of it … at a very reasonable price.

Charities and expanding smaller enterprises can search in vain to fill exactly the sort of roles which, all too often, are closed off by larger organisations suffering a temporary drop in sales or who simply find themselves in an economic or industry downturn.

Our ‘free-to-search’ web site – is available to anyone seeking to add skilled employees to their staff; access to all available Profiles is free and easy.

Once a basic selection is found it is essential to join StaffShare as a Registered Skill Buyer, in order to view detailed CV’s. Registration is a one off activity and results in an annual fee of just £250.00* (plus VAT at the UK National rate- currently 17.5%).

* £100 p.a. for Charities and SMEs (under 50 employees).
